The Valentine Club is open to anyone reaching the tender age of 60 years young and provides a wonderful opportunity to have a chat and meet new friends all at exceptionally good value for money.
Monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, starting usually at 2.30pm with entertainment provided by speakers, singers etc. Afternoon tea is served at every meeting for a minimal charge, with delicious homemade cakes and sandwiches kindly provided by members. These monthly meetings always end with a very popular raffle with generous members providing the small prizes and or maybe purchasing a raffle ticket.
As well as the regular meetings, the Club organises a minimum of six day trips by coach each year to places of interest. Examples of recent trips include a Steam Train ride with lunch, a River Cruise with lunch, and visits to Sudeley Castle and the Milestones Museum. Garden visits and trips to the seaside are always popular too!
And if all this wasn’t enough, if the idea of getting away from it all for a while appeals to you, travelling in excellent company and with every detail arranged for you, there are usually several short break holidays to choose from! Recently holidays have been arranged to Warner Hotels in Somerset, Suffolk and the Isle of Wight.
