July 12th (Wed) Seaside trip to Bournemouth to enjoy a bit of ‘sea-air’ Cost is just £15 per person

July 18th High tea at Middle Aston House – A return to this superb setting for tea and a chat. Cost is just £5 to members but again, heavily subsidised.

August 2nd (Wed) Visit to The National Memorial Arboretum. Tea and biscuits on arrival and a two-course lunch included with ample time to view the many memorials to be found. Inclusive cost for members is just £35

August 15th Lee Wilkinson. A return of this popular musician and comic after a break of four years.

September 5th (Tue) Coach visit to Trentham Gardens and shopping village – £20 per person. Be prepared as it also has one of the largest garden centres you have seen! Plenty of cafes and acres of amazing grounds plus a shopping village made up of over 80 timber cabins so bring your cash or a card.

September 12th We welcome to the club for the first time, Neil, a singer of high repute with a repertoire covering the 60’s and 70’s music which some of you might remember!

September 18th – 22nd Coach holiday to The Marine Hotel in Llandudno – Places from £349 per person to include two full day excursions. This hotel is right on the promenade just across from the pier.

October 17th (1.30pm) Fish and chips plus pudding – Cost to members will be £8 as the cost of fish and chips has risen considerably.

November 21st Ukuleles from Bicester U3A return by popular demand.

December 8th Music and meal at The Marriot Hotel, Warwick – £45 per member which is again, subsidised by the club

December 12th Christmas Dinner with entertainment – £5 per member.

All monthly meetings are held at Steele Aston Village Hall and commence at 2.30pm unless otherwise stated. The Valentine Club is open to anyone reaching the tender age of 60 years young. Membership for 2023 is held at just £10 per person payable at the first meeting of the year if possible. Teas are served at all meetings at a charge of £1 per person and thanks must be given to the members who kindly supply the cakes and sandwiches. A monthly raffle is also held at each meeting and if you feel so inclined, please consider providing a small prize and maybe purchasing a raffle ticket.

To secure a place on any of the coach trips it is advisable to book as early as possible. If you can, why not give Richard a list of those trips early in the year and if possible, pay by bank transfer (Richard will give you the bank details). If you make a payment to the club by cheque, please make it payable to “The Valentine Club”.
